The Hammer is a pure power cruiser with real attitude. Finished in red and black it was a bike I really enjoyed riding - and photographing. This was taken on a while I was setting up for another bike's shoot at Beenleigh.
At night by the bay at Manly, Brisbane. I like the way the lights recede into the blackness and the contrast of the bike and the reddish hue from the street lights.
On the hunt for a backdrop and spotted some red. I like the way the colours on the bike really pop in this shot too.
It's a bike that looks good from virtually any angle. This was with the camera at ground level.
One of my favourite shots of the Vics by the Power House Museum in Brisbane.
The Highball with factory Flame paint job is one of my favourite looking bikes. It's very pleasant to ride too. Night shot in Tingalpa makes use of the lighting from under the shop awnings.
Down in the abandoned Beenleigh Mall grunge.
Another angle down in the abandoned Beenleigh Mall grunge. I like the dark mood of the shot contrasted with the brightness from the spot of natural light falling on the bike.
Good looking bike down by the Bay. F1.4 35mm lens..
Another variant of the Victory Cruiser Range. With a name like Gunner I naturally set off in search of big guns. Found some.
Classy looking cruiser photographed at Peatrie Village.
Another Angle.
Downtown Auckland.
One from the archives by the Hanua Falls near Auckland.
One of the all-time great looking motorcycles photographed by the Riverwalk entrance in Brisbane.
There wasn't much room so I used a wide angle Tokina 14-28mm lens and corrected for distortion in Photoshop.
Another night shot with the Story Bridge and Brisbane City as the backdrop.
It really is a classic beauty and the Bayside waterfront location means nothing distracts from the lovely lines of the bike.
Side-on shot with some nice craft in the backdrop for some colour match.
Another nice angle by the Bay.
Another nice angle featuring a stylised image of a Heritage by the Bay.
Portrait by the Bay without image manipulation. Showing the bike's classic lines nicely.
Harley's muscle cruiser is the best handling big block in their range. That fat front end works really well.
The search for blue and grey and background colours.
This wide angle shot of a 2014 Fatty by the Brisbane River has graced the back cover advertisement of Heavy Duty Magazine for over a year.
Another nice angle with my favourite location by the Bay.
Christmas colours by the Story Bridge in Brisbane.
Nice '14 Wide Glide by the marina at Manly.
Nice '14 Wide Glide by the marina at Manly.
Nice retro-styled '15 Low Rider by the river in Newmarket.
Shot of a '14 Night Rod in Chinatown.
Archive image of a 2007 Fat Boy.
The Magnum is a update on Victory Cross Country Bagger - fitted with a 21" Front Wheel, 100 watt stereo and some extra bling. I found it very photogenic and enjoyed scouting locations for it a whole lot.
Classic angle by the waterfront.
It's a bike that fitted with night photography perfectly. The colours of Chinatown matched well.
This is one of my favourite city locations. Several car parks right next to a busy road make for interesting light and movement. I like the way the street lights make the paintwork really pop.
Naturally with a fashionably big wheel as one of its main features the obvious location was by the ... big wheel. In the print res pic the wheel isn't cropped. This is a 20 second exposure that put a heap of speed on the slow moving big wheel.
Wider angle with Brisbane wheel-s.
With its wild paint scheme the Ness version of the Magnum presented an opportunity to look for 'sympathetic' colours and interesting backdrops. Another that I enjoyed riding into the night.
It's also quite a capable touring bike. North of Brisbane with the Glasshouse Mountains as a backdrop.
The base model is a capable and versatile touring bike with great road manners and handling. I spent time with all three and enjoyed the opportunity to photograph them in different settings. I waited 20 minutes for the train and was really happy with the timing of the composition.
Stylised image of the Cross Country in a city location.
The motivation for the Cross Country set was a search for shades of grey. I kept hoping it would be cloudy and got a result at Dusk down by the bay.
Touring the South Island of NZ and a stop at Omaru.
The 'basic' model in the 111cube Indian Range is the Classic - photographed by the Story Bridge.
Classic lines work equally well in a bush land setting.
And by the bay at Dusk.
At Capalaba. I like the empty feel of this shot.
At Sangate for a look at the other side of the bike.
By the pier at Sangate give a timeless look and feel to the shot.
The second in the Indian range, the Vintage. North of Brisbane with the Glasshouse Mountains in the background.
The latest addition to the range is the Scout. It has very spirited performance and a unique look. Here the plain brick backdrops don't detract from the lines of the bike.
Another angle of the latest addition to the range.
And another angle of the latest addition to the range. I like the way the D800 has captured some of the very light rain that was falling.
The big-daddy bagger of the Indian Range. A first rate luxury tourer with all the fruit. Interesting moonlight by the foreshore at Manly too.
Interesting light at Wynnum in the rain and the trail of a bug in the headlight.
And by the waterfront.
Touring conditions on the road to Jacobs Well, south of Brisbane.. This is the shot Heavy Duty Magazine used to open the test with a double page spread..
I just like the colours in this one..
Indian's first Bagger, by the Bay at Wynnum. Another shot that the Magazine used to open a double page spread.
Near the dealership in Fortitude Valley. I like the light's effect.
The Heavy Duty Magazine test bike in the interesting and complementary light in the Gasworks precinct, Hamilton, Brisbane.

The latest model in the 111 cube range is my favourite. It's been trimmed down by 14kg, fitted with some mag wheels and it's not only a great looking bike, it's supremely enjoyable to ride. Pictured here in the interesting light of Brisbane City
This is my favourite recent image. By the bay at Wynnum and the light is perfect for the matte paint.
At Tingalpa and more interesting light.
By the bay at Wynnum for a nice portrait.
Interesting low-level shot higlights the bike's great lines.
By the bay for a classic side-on portrait.
More interesting light by the Story Bridge.
In Tingalpa photographed with 300mm lens.
First of the twin cooled Harley engines and a superb luxury motorcycle. Pumpin' Station seemed very appropriate.
By the Bay looking for the blues
And that city location. this was the first of many times I've used it.
On the road west of Brisbane.
2008 Model at Tingalpa with good clarity.
Great looking '14 Model with the Gold Coast as a backdrop.
On Mt Tamborine looking towards the Scenic Rim.
Night shot of a Road Glide on Southbank Brisbane was a double page spread in the HOG Magazine
Profile shot with Moreton Bay backdrop
With some grunge.
